This is not even REMOTELY close to vetoable.
Any commissioner who allowed this to be stopped will not be commissioner long.

It's not a good trade, but vetoes should be reserved for the most extreme situations only.
It is not the role of a commissioner to second-guess team management.
The GMs reaction is not childish or petulant on the merits (can't speak to the form). It's a legitimate protest against the committe's encroachment of powers.
Lol let me guess, you're a member of this "board of governers." It's quite Absurd that the "governers" got so worked up over a minor trade like this that they vetoed.
All teams need to be given leeway to think outside the box and make trades that may offend the "sensibilities" of other managers. The managers in question should not be punished for having imagination. It's not like McDavid was traded for Schmaltz.

It sounds like you're really just here looking for people to justify your decision to veto the trade. It also sounds like the 3 all powerful "wise men" who run the league are now looking to punish one of the trading GMs because he got upset when you tried to run his team for him. The league sounds like a mess.
Oh and no, the trade isn't veto-worthy, much less veto-thread worthy.

In general (not this particular deal), what is the line where one deal is vetoed vs not vetoed? Give me another example.
My point: If it's based on your perceived value of players, then this is very subjective. To veto a deal simply saying they need to tweak it to be ok to three people not involved in the deal sounds ridiculous to me.
He didn't get the reception he wanted, so he and the "board of governors" will now retreat back into their league and talk about how everyone on the dobber forum hit the tantrum button. Nothing is going to change in that league - you can tell by the words he used to describe the manager who dared disagreed with him.
Wouldn't be surprised in the least if your league has high manager turnover.

horrorfan and Serge hit the nail on the head. The board of governors should just take over every team if they want to be the ones managing them.
I assume this is two adults, who have paid their league fee's, making a trade that they both feel is fair?? If their is collusion in your league then kick those GM's out now before things get real ugly.
You may not agree with every trade that is made in your league, but if trades like these are veto'ed then your league is in big trouble..
