Bottom 5 teams right now:
1. Buffalo
2. Arizona
3. Florida
4. Edmonton
5. Ottawa
Can't see any of them passing on Dahlin for Svech.
Also wtf is Edmonton and Ottawa doing at the bottom 5, many were calling these teams cup contenders.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi finally cracks the top-31 here as well and jumps straight to #24. Besides Kotkaniemi, the biggest risers seem to be Barrett Hayton (from #25 to #16) and Noah Dobson (from #31 to 19). Adam Boqvist is still surprisingly low at #8 considering most others have him in their top-5.
Filip Johansson and Jonathan Tychonick drop out of top-31 after being there in November ranking.

After WJC, Zadina impress me and I put him 2nd after Dahlin.
Very shocking that people start drawing drastic conclusions based on just six WJC games...
What people often forget is that Zadina and Tkachuk are a year older than Svechnikov, and that extra development time is huge for such young players. I'm not saying it's wrong to rank either one over Svechnikov as they're all very close but it's important to remember that difference when only looking at the WJC and what they can do this year. A better comparison would be to look at their previous years and compare it to Svechnikov's current year. A year ago, Zadina and Tkachuk didn't even play at the WJC as 17-year-olds but Svechnikov did play now as a 17-year-old. Most likely, all three are playing in the NHL next season, so personally I'd rather have the younger guy. But I'm not sure if that still means I'd have Svechnikov second overall as Adam Boqvist has a good case to be ranked there as well. He needs more time before he's playing in the NHL but his upside is huge.
All that being said, I do expect most rankings to be like this after the WJC:
Dahlin
Zadina
Tkachuk
Svechnikov
Boqvist/Hughes
That's just what always happens at the WJC. And then things start to even out closer to the summer when the WJC is not fresh on everyone's mind anymore.
As a Halifax Moosehead supporter and fan, it's always fun at WJC time because their kids seem to get a nice boost from this tourney in recent years.
Zadina this year. Meier in 2015. Ehlers in 2014. MacKinnon and Drouin in 2013.
