You guys think he\'ll get 50 goals 40 assists? I\'m not sold on Buffalo. This guy is solid, but i\'m not crazy about his linemates.

Not sure about the 40 assists, but he\'s hitting 50 goals this year if he stays healthy (no reason to think he won\'t).

He had 43 goals in his second year in the league and then had to relearn how to play hockey again when the core of the team was torn out and still scored 36.

I personally believe he will score 60 this year and likely win the Rocket.

Vanek is legit. I agree with doulos, 50 seems a lock, but 40 assists might be a stretch. Vanek for Semin is a push and I prefer Vanek, but only slightly.

Considering only three players made 50 goals last year I wouldn\'t throw out bold predictions about anyone except Ovechkin. Still, 39 goals in the remaining 69 games doesn\'t seem like a stretch at all and baring a big cold stretch he should be just above a point-per-game.

Personally I think Vanek is a much more solid option then Semin and I don\'t doubt the skill in Buffalo.

Vanek also scored 22 goals in the last 31 games of the season last year - that\'s almost a 60 goal pace right there.

This year he\'s continued on that pace with 11 goals in 11 games. Now that I think about it again, 60 is not farfetched at all.
