Is he going to start scoring soon?! 38 shots on goal, and only 7 assists in 13 games. Every time I look at Carolina box scores, it's discouraging not to see him tickling twine.

His TOI/G and TOI-PP are both up this year, and he's on the 1st line/1st pp.

I'm still playing him every night because I like his upside more than other guys I could use in his spot.

In his first 13 games last year, he had no goals either and 6 assists (28 sog) but that was as a rookie. He then broke out in game 14 with 2 G, 1 A.

Small sample size, but he seems to be a slow starter!

I think Aho and that whole top line for Carolina has been pretty snake bitten to start the year. They just need to start potting a few and I think they and all of Carolina will start meeting expectations for the rest of the season. I think the floodgates will open soon. Faulk, Lindholm, and Terravainen just need some good puck luck.

I just can't stand the fact it's guys like Derek Ryan and Justin Williams putting up points, lol. Sure, Derek Ryan doesn't have good numbers, but he's got more goals than Aho!

That's true, still disappointing though considering he had 49 pts as a rookie.

I'm in the same boat with Faulk and Aho, like everyone said, patience. Aho is shooting a lot, but a lot of those shots are coming from lower percentage areas, they aren't all clustered around the net like last year. I think he's just shooting whenever he gets he chance, he's a bit snake bit and likely just wants to snap out of it. Still a valuable player, points will come.

Lol, sophomore slump or bad luck?! He had 49 pts last year, to end up with 40-45, that means he'll only get 33-38 pts in last 60 games (.48-.63/g). Seems a little low to me.

Of his 38 shots 16 came in games vs a injured MIN team first game of the season, DAL, and COL. Both COL and DAL are poor defensive teams so no surprise there. However that is 40% of his shots for the season. 38 shots is really more like 2.2 per game.... I dunno just pointing that out.

I think CAR is going to make some improvements. I am targeting Darling and have Skinner. I think Aho will be just fin but yeah 55P sounds about right.

Carolina as a team is rounding a corner. From cbssports (which used to link from rotoworld(?)) :

Don't look now, but Darling has stopped 53 of 55 shots in his past two games to work his save percentage up to .910, and his GAA down to 2.35. The Hurricanes currently pace the NHL in Corsi For percentage (56.6) and are fifth in the league in high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (12.7) at five-on-five, so this is a sneaky good fantasy setup. Additionally, this could prove to be an opportune buy-low time for Darling.

I think the floodgates open shortly for all the big pre-season guys- especially Lindholm and Aho who seem to have nestled frimly into topline duty this season...

Yeah I feel like Carolina is due to pick up soon. Faulk has been plaguing my blueline since day one this season, but I've been patient as humanly possible with him. Once they get rolling though, the points will poor in!
