I'm a Flames fan and I would still take AP. Dougie is the better own, but he's on a D core that is really deep. AP is the star for the Blues and plays 30/night and kills it on PP1.
AP for me. He's entrenched as the D on the 4F1D PP1 unit for STL.
Him & Parayko are also significantly better than the D3,D4,etc on STL, so they'll get heavier minutes.
Calgary has an excellent D3(Brodie) and D4(Hamonic), so those guys will get their minutes.
And CGY keeps the Gio/Hamilton pairing together by delegating them onto the 3F2D PP2 unit for CGY.
Gaudreau & Monahan play on the 4F1D PP1 unit.
One can already see the evidence of this because Brodie is logging most TOI for CGY while heading up PP1:

AP's at 27min/gp (though STL has had OT games):

But the ice-time difference is significant, mostly reflective of how good TJ Brodie (& Travis Hamonic) are.
I expect AP to eat close to 25min/gp and Hamilton closer to 22min/gp.
That 3min is 12%... and 12% TOI differential is significant, enough to give this edge to AP, IMO.
