No it's only week 1
I noticed he's now listed on pp #2, brodie is on pp #1. Brodie scored already tonight. I picked Hamilton early in my fantasy draft thinking he'll have a big year. Any reason to be concerned?

Not concerned, it's too early. But I don't expect Hamilton to be a lock for PP1, or any Calgary d man for that matter. Brodie had the edge last season and it appears that hasn't changed but its early.
Other than plan minus your leagues is essentially point based and Hamilton's value is much greater in multi cat leagues than it is in points imo.
I wouldn't expect more than 50 points this year from him. And to be safe I had him closer to 45 going into the draft.

I don't see why Brodie would have an edge in the first place, I realize he had 4 pts tonight but he's a 2nd pair guy and Hamilton 1st, and Hamilton has much more upside. He had 42, 43 then 50 pts last year. He's also just 24, so I heard people talking him up as a guy who could have a huge year.
I'm not sure I understand his value being much greater in multi cat leagues given he finished 7th in my league in D fantasy pts last year. He fires lots of rubber, so he gets lots of chances to score. He had 15, 14 and 16 pp points the past few years, so not a crazy amount considering his overall point trajectory is going upward. i just saw something about his underlying numbers being better than Brodie's, making him a better 1 pp fit.

Wouldn't worry too much 45-50. Maybe Calgary needs him for the defensive end more than they do for the PP and it's a way to monitor his minutes. In Calgary's eyes it's about winning a game and if it take Dougie to play more defensive minutes/pk they'll do it.
I get what you're saying, but I just heard people talking about him having the inside track to more pp 1 time this year, and could push for an even bigger year. Why shouldn't he get that opportunity, he's younger and had 50 pts last year? That, and Brodie/Hamonic looks more like a shut-down pair to me than Gio/Hamilton. I mean the latter 2 have better offensive capabilities. I know Brodie had 4 pts last night, but he doesn't have as much upside as Hamilton.
