    Default Turris or Stepan

In my opinion both have proven themselves as reliable assets and are the same age.
If Stepan was still on the rangers I would have taken Turris based on how NYR speads out their scoring. How do you think being moved affects Stepan?
League scoring is in my signature however I am just hoping for some discussion in general while I ponder over my last F keeper spot.
    Cheers!

    I prefer Turris.

    Two main reasons

    1) Arizona has a lot of young forwards that if they develop as expected with surpass Stepan for prime minutes.
    2) players often struggle for the first part of a new season with a new team... there is an adjustment factor that should be considered.

Thanks for the reply. My gut also says Turris. Both are fringe keepers for me so I am not necessarily considering the long term with them as their is good chance that I bring someone in this draft to replace them long term. I had not really considered an adjustment period, likely because I am so used to Stepan putting up similar points year to year. I was more considering the potential upsides of getting some key minutes with some pretty exciting prospects. Thanks for giving me something to think on

I also prefer Turris. I think his upside is higher as far as points, and I expect Stepan will take some time to adjust to Arizona which will hurt his points total. Turris can exceed 60 points if he is healthy for a full season whereas I don't see Stepan much higher than 55 this year. Plus, as Penguin Hunter said, the young forwards in Arizona will soon pass Stepan on the pecking order.

Among these two, I'm gambling on Stepan. The downside isn't that far down and the upside is intriguing. Plus, the fact that Turris is now two seasons removed from his only season above 58 points concerns me.

I think I would also roll with Turris. I would also strongly consider keep Piet over both.

Updated my signature. I am between Carlson and AP for a 4th D spot. I am having a hard time with the idea of keeping 5 D in a keep 14. I could potentially keep Lehner over one of Turris or Stepan?

I get not wanting to keep 5 D, I would just have a hard time dropping a 50pt D that should have solid +/- for a 55-60 pt forward. I would keep you D and if you want try and sell one for an F (think you would be able to get more than a Stepan or Turris).

Don't think I would keep Lehner in a 10 man league, likely better goalies available for redraft.

    I agree with this.

55pt forwards are a lot easier to find than even 45pt dmen... Holding 5 of them would give you really strong trade bait come season start.

I'd probably keep Turris though of the two.

I prefer Turris. In my draft, i picked Stepan roughly 40 picks after Turris went off the board.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
