Will Fuller broke his collarbone
Hey all, I just figured I would start a thread where we could put any important facts, stories etc from the NFL pre-season.
1) - Sterling Shephard carried off the field. I think this effects Marshall, Perking and Manning negatively, has no impact on OBJ. Reason being is that Shephard was going to make room in on the field for Marshall and Perkins.
2) Is Keuchly only practicing at half-pace? Or is McCaffrey that good? check out this video

3) Jordan Reed to see a specialist for his foot... that is not good news for the depth of the tight end position.

No, I don't think it impacts anything. Longest projection is 3 months - that's 6 games. More likely projection is 6-8 weeks, he should be back by week 3.
A few days old now, but Branden Albert -- the Jags' presumed starter at left tackle -- upped and retired on Monday. That's really not great news for any Jags offensive players.
I wouldn't really downgrade Fournette yet, but they're now basically one injury on the line away from being in real big trouble.

2 candidates to step up in Fuller's absence; Strong, and Miller. Coming back after 2 months has been done, but the re-injury risk is huge which would put Fuller out the season. So he'll likely be on the long end of the timetable, so Early November.
I would, that line is terrible and now they're relying on a guy who was a 2nd round pick and not supposed to start for a yr and a bit. Anything that makes Bortles throw the ball a bit faster makes it bad. However, i will add it may help out his receiving yards as a check down guy, he's got surprisingly good hands. But the team may keep 3 RBs (Yeldon, Ivory, Fournette) so Fournette is a 2-down back to start the year if this happens.

Jay Ajayi had a concussion earlier in the week (maybe late last week). Dolphins RB Damien Williams begins Wednesday's practice with the starters in place of the injured Jay Ajayi. So Early indications is DW is the RB2, and with so many touches going Ajayi's way and his injury history (knees 4yrs ago tho), he's a decent safe late pick and hold.

Ryan Tannehill apparently suffered a non-contact knee injury during practice this morning.
No word yet on what precisely, or severity.
UPDATE: Apparently the same knee (left) that he partially tore ACL last season. He went with some sort of stem cell treatment instead of surgery. Some team official is saying that the team remains hopeful, but is "fearing the worst."

Listening to a football podcast and they said that the Washington Post stated that Rob Kelley will be the starter and that Perine sucks in pass protection.
Per the link - http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...damage-to-knee
No structural damage.
Just reported that Joe Mixon left practice with a left foot injury.
Apparently went off under his own power, so that's positive. Still something to monitor though.

Hopkins problem last year was Osweiler. That and folks overestimating his talent as a WR. He's a jump ball WR. Not a technician. Osweiler just failed miserably in his ability to get the ball close to him. Worried about the rookie Watson in that regard to with his limp noodle arm.

Hopefully things are OK with Mixon. Who knows, this could also turn out to be a blessing where savvy drafters get him at a better value if he's not getting the daily glowing fluff camp reports.
Regarding Tannehill, yeah will be interesting to see how this turns out. Even if he avoided anything serious this time around (which it now sounds like he has), one would have to think this could linger and/or cause him to is time in any event so as not to do significant injury. Makes me a little more leery of Ajayi's room to roam and the prospects of the long awaited Davante Parker breakout coming to fruition.

Boy, lots of twists and turns regarding Tannehill.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Dolphins now "fear" Ryan Tannehill (knee) will require season-ending surgery, but have yet to make a final decision.
The Dolphins have gone from "not ruling out" surgery to "fearing" it in three hours. Tannehill didn't fully tear any ligaments on Thursday, but appears to have aggravated his partially torn ACL and MCL from last December. Rather than again opting for rest and rehab — which he could do for 6-8 weeks — it appears Tannehill will need to go under the knife. If that's the case, Matt Moore will step in as starter, though Jay Cutler could be an option. Free agent Colin Kaepernick could also be brought in as a backup. We should get final word on Tannehill's status Friday.
