Easy, tiger. Without the players, the fans wouldn't be there either. It's not so 1-dimensional.

Lots of options for entertainment dollars. Not a lot of options for "other income sources".

I live in Ottawa, and all I've heard is excuses.

And of course the players are going to say that. What else would they say? "Hey, we noticed the building wasn't as loud, especially when we were getting horribly outplayed and outshot in the second period. But once we scored the game-winning goal, they came back to life."

Great post - I tend to agree here and would be looking for value on an 'over' bet for total goals in a Cup Final with these two teams. It is a counter-intuitive philosophy, which is why I feel there may be value.

Here is to hoping we see these Vegas lines come out!

Go Sens (that still feels weird to say)!

Sucks to see Pens take the lead on that weak call.

As a Leaf fan... BAHAHAHA PHANEUF!

There's the big lug we traded away.

Now costing his team a chance at the big show. Fitting.

Well that's a brutal call on Phaneuf which leads to the go ahead goal late in period 3 of game 7. I was glad that the Sens tied it up after that shamefulness.

    I think that's called interference.

I have no issue with the call.

But good for the Sens for tieing it up.

Listen. I have absolutely no desire to argue with you, if you can't see how ridiculous that call is, or why the NHL refs have consistency issues. You are just being obtuse.

Kind of looked like they needed to as it was an icing if they didn't, which wouldn't have been fair to the Pens. He held him up regardless of whether he went down or not. Otherwise, yes, weak.

Can't believe Ottawa is still in this game though. Pittsburgh has been all over them.

There was nothing wrong with that call. Other non-calls, sure, but you can't be upset when they call a penalty when it was obviously a penalty. Consistency is clearly a problem, but the best way to avoid getting dinged by the times they choose to make a call is to not blatantly break the rules. It was a clear case of interference.
