Pretzel for me for now because he's actually had some NHL time. Keller just got a cup of coffee at the end of the season. I would be happy to own either one in any fantasy league though.
Clayton keller
Jake Guentzel
Just curious and want to compare these 2. I see Dobber has Guentzel #1 and Keller #2 in prospect rankings.
Who would you rather own for next year and future?

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Keller from 2 years out and beyond. Guentzel until then.
Guentzel has an advantage now because of his plum position. So, if you're looking for immediate production, Guentzel is your guy.
Keller has a higher ceiling and is a more talented player on his own. He will eventually have some excellent line-mates but there may be some growing pains.
Give me the guy that can do it on his own without the need to rely more on someone else's skills to produce points.
Clayton Keller for me.

Keller has more skill and upside. But Guentzel had the line mates and better opportunities.
I think Keller will have the better career

Both are awesome players. Like others have said, Keller has the higher pure offensive ceiling, but Guentzel is no slouch and is in a terrific spot.
Guentzel will be the better own for the next 2-3 years then Keller could overtake him. They should each be high end fantasy assets.
I'm thrilled to have both.

Keep on, keepin' on.
I don't think the extra upside Keller has is worth the bigger risk. Guentzel is more proven and will have a top 5 C to play with for several years.
I'd take Keller. Lines change too often for me to pass on the talent.
HBK line didn't last.
Triplets were split up.
Guentzel and Sheary are too reliant on Crosby for me to put in his ballpark.
But next year? Guentzel.

agree with the consensus. guentzel for now, keller long term. I think keller's realistic production is about the same as guentzel's playing with Crosby, so if keller hits his enormous upside and guentzel doesn't play with Crosby, they're no where near each other.
I'd take Keller over Guentzel but I like both long-term.

"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
Guentzel this season screams all kinds of warning signals - unsustainable sh%, low shot volume and teammate-dependent production. That being said, if and when he continues to enjoy the minutes and linemates he has, he will produce.
Keller is looking good now, but still has alot to prove in the NHL level, so does his team. But his talent is solid.
In a keeper standpoint, definitely Keller. He can carve out his own career and has solid pedigree as a blue chip prospect. Short term though, he has still some learning in front of him and his team as a whole is not that proven yet.
Guentzel for me and I'd argue that though Keller may be better on two+ years you may have already turned Guentzel into something better again... Really does depend on your approach but if you are a wheeler and dealer GM who takes advantage of opportunity I think Guentzel is the easy choice
Experience is the teacher of all things.
Keller, unless it its for the supershortterm you gotta go with the individual talent.
Commish of UNFFHL, dangered species being the sole Panthers fan on Dobber.
Same here! My team is built to win now, and my only 3 prospects are Keller, Guentzel, and Puljujarvi. Each is locked in dirt cheap for the rest of his career, so hopefully in the next couple of years they will all be making me look like a genius. lol
If I could only keep one of them I honestly have no idea what I would do.
