I would go with Forsberg just because of the cap difference. As you said the stats will be very similar.
For the cats G, A, PPP, +/- and PIM, these two seem to be pretty even over the last couple of years. The question is, which one is likely to have another gear and become a PPG or close to PPG player. Also, it's a salary cap league and I'm mindful of the potential difference in AAV - Forsberg's is a nice $6 mil but Kucherov could get $7.5 mil, which if all else equal, is significant. I'm not too concerned with Kucherov going to the KHL.
So which one would you choose?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Makes sense. Maybe try and see if you can even get a tiny plus out of it too?

The only difference between the 2 is whether having a LW or RW would be better suited for your team.

I'm hesitating because I am fond of Kucherov but also, perhaps because of that, I think he has another gear that Forsberg doesn't. If he had his contract now at about $6.5, I wouldn't even be thinking about this.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I think Forsberg has another gear left in him whereas I think we have seen most of what Kucherov can do. That's my two cents.

I think BOTH have another gear but without the stats being weighted one way or the other I probably prefer Forsberg for the 'potential' cap difference as I think it will exist
Experience is the teacher of all things.
I sure am glad I didn't make the move to trade Kucherov for Forsberg. Kuch looks elite right now and his contract is probably the best bargain in entire NHL.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
For sure. I went into the thread thinking it was new and thought people crazy to think Forsberg was the better choice (I didn't read the whole OP immediately). I had an owner in one league in the same position this year as I tried to offer Huberdeau for the unknown Kucherov contract. Didn't bite, but man, would that have been sweet!
Hehe, sometimes I bump my old threads just to put closure on them, if anyone cares. Yeah, here I trusted my gut plus I really like Kucherov so I stayed pat.
