Is it the league in your sig??
Sorry, posted this in the forwards thread originally by mistake, so unless that is removed it'll be duplicate content.
I drafted Hedman in the 3rd round and Yandle with the second of my 4th round picks in my draft last night.
How do you think it stacks up relative to the other D pairs in the league? *Rank from best to worst if possible, and i'm just talking in regards to the upcoming season.

Yes it is! I have to update it with my full roster, but the settings are down there.

In that case if I had to rank them I'd go....
Burns/Josi
Karlsson/Ekblad
Carlson/Klingberg
Letang/Weber
Faulk/Subban
Buff/Hamilton
Barrie/OEL
Giordano/Ghost
Hedman/Yandle
Doughty/Shattenkirk
Jones/Rielly
Krug/Ristolainen
Vatanen/Keith (injuries to Vatanen)
They are mostly pretty close though
I don't have time to rank them, but I'd put Yandle/Hedman in the bottom half/third of that list.
Dont see how this is important or relevant to anything. Are you going to trade your players or something?

It's relevant in the sense this thread is a "D men discussion"..
I'm not planning too, but after the draft it's normal to size up ones team to the rest of the competition . I do not approve of your post, and the purpose of the forum is to reply with something helpful and not to question what someone posts when it's legitimate. You didn't provide any sort of ranking.

Agree with the concensus... Bottom third as there are some real nice pairs in there...

I have Price and Dubnyk in net, so I think my above average goaltending will compensate for my D not being in the upper part of the rankings. It'll be interesting to look back after the year and see how these rankings will differ from what they are now, and I'm sure there will be movement. I also have Provorov stashed in my rookie slot who I drafted this year after the forward prospects I was most interested in were snatched up already. Dobber mentioned in another thread that he thinks Provorov was a great pick-up, and other than Connor and Aho (who I mentioned were also available), he was my best bet in terms of upside and wait time. He also mentioned that he'll be elite within a couple of years. Not going to lie, I'm pretty excited about him after seeing how well Ghost did for another gm last year as a rookie, and the fact I've read Provorov may have more offensive upside. I also read some stuff about him being a really good 2 way guy. My league doesn't count hits or sog or pims or stuff like that, so I guess +/- would come into play with regards to him being good on both sides of the puck, but that category has really low weighting in my league anyways, so I think the take away is that he projects to be a good all around D man in the NHL. He played 25+ mins tonight and had a pp assist, and a +1 and played the most minutes of any d man (granted it was pre-season), but they had solid D in there tonight with Ghost, Gudas, Del Zotto, Morin and MacDonald also in there. I picked Provorov ahead of other D prospects as well, like Theodore and Werenski. I guess seeing him #1 on Dobber's Top 50 Fantasy Prospect D men made a difference!
