Default Forward or Tandem Goalies in a 3 bench league?

I am involved in multiple leagues but just for the sake of the argument, what strategy do you prefer in a small bench setup?

If you only have three bench spots and two goalie spots (normal 12/14 team league), would you use one of those spots to grab a tandem like Murray/Fleury, or do you grab an additional player to help with the categories.

I'm just throwing around strategies in my head pre-draft and was wondering what everyone here thinks.... I'm kind of leaning towards rolling with the extra player at the moment

    2 C, 2 L, 2 R, 3 D, 2G, 3 Bench. G, A, PPP, Shots, Hits, Wins, SV%, Shutout

I would rather not have tandem goalies. It's an unnecessary handcuffing of your own options. Especially with a smaller bench like that.

Depends on whether there are game limits for each position. If you don't have limits, there are more skater stats and you're better off accumulating them. If you have game limits, you won't get much benefit from keeping extra skaters but will almost certainly not hit you goalie limit with two starters and would do well to bench more

I would t necessarily go for tandems but if I'm starting two goalies then I draft 3...

Even in short bench leagues (such as 3 bench spots)?

100%... Means I should lock up goalies every weeke especially if they are volume based stats

I can see you're point.. would you target a guy like Elliot as your 3rd goalie then as he plays on a lot of off nights?

Elliott would be a great guy to have as your number three if your can manage to swing that.
I agree with Sulla that in most leagues, the number of starting G spots you have +1, is the number of goalies I like to roster.

Would you do it in a 3 bench spot league? That would mean you'd have one guy on bench and one add drop guy.

Same answer as the initial question. I would avoid it if possible. The less you can cause yourself to be handcuffed off the bat, the better.
