First to pick: Kane or Green?

I\'m the first one to pick in this year\'s draft and I\'m wondering who to pick between Patrick Kane and Mike Green?

1G or 1 assist = 1pt

9 forwards
6 D
3 G

I don\'t have any good D protected, so that\'s why Green seems like a good choice to me. Also, he just signed a multi-year contract, avering 5M/year, which is not that much for this kind of D...

If you had positional requirements I\'d tell you for sure to take Kane cause RW\'s are way more valuable than D. But in this format I think you should go with Green, more so because you mentioned that you currently have a weak D, so I\'m assuming your much stronger at F.

I protected 6 players this year, and next year it will be 8.

My 6 protected players are:

- Crosby
- D.Roy
- Toews
- Semin
- R.Miller
- Ryan Whitney (so I have 1 good offensive D, it\'s just that\'s he\'s gonna make 40 pts if everything\'s goes well this year).

Also, I would be set at D for years to come with Whitney and Green as the D\'s to protect each year...

i think 40 is asking for a lot from whitney if he comes back at new years like most people see to think he will.

not very deep on forwards compared to d. Easy choice here is green. There should be some solid forwards left to draft in later rounds, top d men should be gobbled up quickly.
