Bob For Kyle Connor+

Here's my situation - I am in a 22 man keeper league (11 regulars & 11 minors) and have too many goalies - in a league that owners really covet goalies (league cat's below).

My Goalies: Allen, Bob, Elliott, Hutch, Neuvirth, Vanacek, Koskinen (Kosk in my minor keepers)

The offer: Darcy Kuemper + Kyle Connor For (my) Bob.

My Current Prospects: Beaudin, Debrincat, Roy, Rubstov, Nylander, Soshnikov, Chychrun, Dunn, Lindell, Sanheim.

My initial response is this is low-ball, but I would love to add Connor. But Bob is worth more, no?

Yes this is low ball. Connor does get my attention but the other player added needs to be legit, you're giving up a Vezina winner, remind him of that often.

Trade BOB and you are left with an Allen/Elliot combo with a couple of back-ups floating around. That is not the goaltending you want for a 16 team league. Or is it? (There is that pesky question mark)

Who are his goalies besides Kuemper? Moses has a good point here, you should be looking to get a goalie back, someone with some upside. I like moving Bob because he is a name guy (see Vezina) who is actually injury-riddled and playing for a pretty weak team coached by a madman.

Yes, I know I'm not "that deep" in net - but what I mean is that I will not be keeping all those goalies. And since owners are always after goalies in this league, I should try to get a return.

Love Connor in this deal, but I agree you should look for a better goaltender coming back. Maybe even someone you could stash in your minors a la Saros or Demko, but if you're getting Connor and a prospect back I'd be looking to add a solid pick as well (late 1st/early 2nd).

Thanks! Yeah, agreed. He's worse off than I am. Atleast (at the moment) Bob, Elliot and Allen are all starters. I'll see if he'll move a 1st pick

Agree with this. Or Demko and a better skater. Doesn't necessarily have to be Connor that you get back in the deal.

I'm in a 16 team league and Bobrovsky is available. The asking price to the guy who wanted him was Kucherov and 4th overall and I think there might have been even a tad more added on too and truthfully this is a bargain price for a top goalie in our league, the reason is he's always hurt. This is the kind of return you need to be looking for. There is a thread here all about it. I'll see if I can dig it up for your reference.
