I touched on him in my Capped column from last week.

He has 4 assists in his first 3 games, but only one SOG. Does anybody know anything about him? I have never seen him play, and he's never been on my radar. I'm in a league where we keep 40 so i can afford to take a reach if people think he can be somewhat valuable next year.

I am a Sabre fan here. The good is that he is playing PP straight out of college. However, the consensus is that he will be in the AHL next year. He is a righty and Buffalo has too many of those and Buffalo has too many defensemen on the roster to begin with next year. Keep an eye on if they unload Gorges or Franson. However, Brendan Guhle nearly made the team but got hurt and was sent to juniors. Guhle is believed to have the best chance to make the club, not Nelson. Bylsma will give Nelson a shot and who knows what GMTM (Tim Murray) will do this offseason but he is far from a lock from making the team. Might be a good farm system prospect for leagues with that setting.
