You just robbed the other gm but you\'ll have to wait a few years for giroux to step out.
It doesnt look like he will make the team

It\'s hard to tell at this point, but Dubinsky seems to be caught in a numbers game behind 2 strong centermen (Drury, Gomez) that are signed long-term.
Giroux might have a more favorable situation with Philly having long-term questions on the wing (Knuble, Gagne) and the fact that they are deeper at C than on the wing.
Dubinsky in the short term, Giroux long term.

I don\'t think we can even compare Giroux and Dubinski. Giroux has a lot more potential and you\'ll be happy sooner than later. Good trade for you in a keeper !!

as a giroux owner myself i am also personally invested in him makin the team...trolled the philly papers and message boards as it was impossible to get a boxscore on last nites game- apparently giroux had his best game and had a few chances to pot his first goal playin richards wing- again this isnt first hand...just what i picked up on the message boards- so take it for what its worth- as for dubinsky...even if giroux doesnt make the team id make that trade every day and twice on sunday- even if it hurts short term

This is 100% accurate. Dubinsky is the perfect third-line centerman, who could play on the second-line if needed. However, the Rangers won\'t need that from him, so they\'ll be able to keep him on the third unit (giving them the foundation for one of the better third-lines in the league, mind you!). Giroux projects to be a top-10 scorer in the NHL. Everyone keeps harping on his size, but the kid grew a few inches in the last year (he\'s an even 6\' now) so he\'ll be fine on size. To spell this out in numbers, Dubinsky will give you about 50-60 points and 80 pim in his prime, while Giroux will more likely fall within the 80-90 point range.I don\'t think we can even compare Giroux and Dubinski. Plus, Giroux has cooler hair!
