Default Parise for Skinner + Connor Murphy

In a deep keeper league (in my sig), what are your thoughts on this deal? I'd be moving Parise out for Skinner + Murphy, and I'm a rebuilding team. Thanks.

Need to clarify which Murphy - Ryan or Connor? I like Ryan's offensive upside more, though Connor might have a longer NHL career.

Hard to say how Skinner will turn out. I don't think he'll ever be elite but he could still be a serviceable player.

Parise is still the better player, but he already appears to be declining with injuries. Great player to shop while you're rebuilding and he's still worth something.

It's Connor Murphy, the Arizona defenseman. If anyone can comment on his upside or any details that would be really appreciated. Thanks for the reply Gooding74, I take that as a hold on Parise and shop for a better deal?

Yeah, I'm not quite sold on this deal. Teams that are competing for a title would love to add Parise. Find someone who is willing to overpay in terms of a prospect or young player (or two).

I'm not too familiar with Connor Murphy so I can't comment on him.

I know Skinner is a very frustrating own. I have owned him a few times in a few leagues and he drives you nuts. His constant is SOG's - which Parise also offers. In a league that also counts hits/blocks/fow's he is useless in those categories. -3 isn't bad, but not great. Yes he will give you goals, but remember this year he had two hat tricks 2 games apart which boosts his totals...then cools off considerably

While I do know that Parise is older and maybe "declining" due to injuries, I still think he is a legitimate threat every game for some hits, lots of shots, goals, assists etc. I think you can get more for him than this deal from a contender in your league. If not, I would rather hold on to him and try to move him next year with the same argument or see if he rebounds. 31 still isn't THAT old.

This is my opinion though...and I am a biased former Skinner owner.

I should also add that I just acquired Parise in a deal in my league - just to give you perspective

I gave Nugent Hopkins, a 1st and a 3rd for Parise and Turris.

Steep price, but i truely believe Parise will give me a better chance to win this year than some of the other guys I had. The selling owner told me after the fact that he had other similar offers but this turned out to be the best one -

Parise is still a solid option. Skinner is on the wire in my 12 team league

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will in fact shop Parise around more.
