Bery interesting - thanks for sharing this.
A while ago, praba wanted to start a one-year league that would be made up of a bunch of veteran posters on the site. So finally he collected a member roster that contained the following members (I\'ll list us in the randomized draft order):
sentium
mbice
kickerz
mapletreemarty
smack1919
joos
Shoeless (who was joined by ultrawhiteness as a co-GM)
praba
duballstar014
Atomic_wedgy
So now we\'re asking you, the other people of Dobberhockey, to go through our teams and tell us how we did. They\'re all here. I\'ve added Yahoo\'s dual eligibility for the so far few players that have it. Which players were taken too early? Which ones were late steals? Most of us in the league agree that the draft has been incredibly even.
It\'s a Yahoo H2H league with daily roster changes. 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 4D, 2G and then we have 2 bench spots. Here are the categories:

Oh well, you have all the draft positions in the original post anyway, even if it\'s a bit harder to read. It\'s better than nothing :P

Interesting setup. Goalies account for 9/20 of the total scoring and you have 2 spots for them. The team with the best goalie performances is going to do VERY well.
It\'s always a little difficult assessing who will come out on top with so few teams but I do like Joos\' goalie situation quite a bit. Between Turco and Brodeur he should get tons of starts and wins and can even compliment his stats/wins quite well off the bench with Conklin.
Beyond that I think Sentium, Praba and Smack all have the potential to do some damage in the department as well.
On D I think I like Praba\'s chances the best, with honorable mention to Mapletree and Atomic_Wedgy.
In terms of F groups I love Ultra\'s team in that regard, but Sentium, Joos and Smack impress me quite a bit as well. WIth only 10 teams a lot of it will come down to how the 3/4 slot guys perform as well as the goalies though.
If I had to go way out on a limb and pick a favorite team based purely on a cursory glance at the teams....
I\'d chose Joos as the guy most likely to win the league. Ultra would be up there but as of right now simply doesn\'t have the defense needed to get it done. I think Sentium would be my vote for second place with Praba in third.

i completely agree, the first thing i noticed was the % that goalie stats contributed. I looked to see who got two really good goalies with their first few picks.Interesting setup. Joos is by far my favorite to win just because of this fact alone...
You have 2 guys that contribute to 9 stat categories and 16 guys that contribute to 11 stat categories... do the math, and you find that goalies in this league are absolutely vital to success.
I\'d actually say (and this is rare in yahoo leagues), that ovechkin should not have been taken first overall...
that\'s just my opinion though...
I agree with pretty much everything doulos said, with joos being my hands down favorite to win because of his goalie studs.

thank you thank you, although I prefer to be somewhat of an underdog when i play lol, but I will take the praise.
I am somewhat glad I didn\'t have to pick Crosby or AO simply cause I wanted a goalie with my 1st rounder. I was very happy with Brodeur in a 1-year league and I was 1 pick away from grabbing Kipper in the 2nd round so I had to \"settle\" for Turco.
Once I grabbed my 2 goalies, I then went to get solid point/SHA+SHG guys, hence guys like Nash, Alfie, Brown, Doan were all my early picks. All these guys contribute to 2 extra stats so that is a huge boost.
D-man wise, I was aiming for solely point/PIM guys.
Only real issues I see with my team is that they may not simply get enough points to win the offensive cats against some other GM who have much more serious offense.
Other issue I have is my dual picks of Plekanec/Koivu and Burns/Zidlicky.
I personally like Kickers, Sentium and Ultra-shoes team. If Ultra-Shoes team gets some half decent goaltending or his makeshift group of netminers do half decent, they will be a serious force especially with all that offense firepower.
Both kickers and Sentium have a good mix of solid goaltending and good forwards.

I remember that round 2 just hoping that Turco would last back around to me. Something told me joos would be all over it. I like his roster for it for sure.
Personally though, I like Atomic Wedgy\'s squad. Adding Joe Sakic that late was clutch and the rest of the squad is well balanced. Just my personal take though.
@tlucarelli on twitter
I like joos, atomic, and ultra/mbice for third (depends on who can find a gem FA d-man)
some other random thoughts:
how did price go before nabokov and fleury?
hossa 25th overall? spezza 31st?
avery (and maybe carcillo) in the 11th round are huge steals
dubulstar\'s lineup will miss half the season w injuries
blake at 188th? I know hes with the laffs, but 30-30 with maybe 20PPP and 300+ SOG is not unreasonable. Any forward who will finish top 5 in the league in any category deserves a bit more respect and is a steal in the 19th round.
on a second pass, i like sentium as well but a number of his forwards will have to hit or even exceed their expectations to keep him in it and plus/minus may be a problem. Dipietro at 180 is great steal in a league w so many goalie cats, should be great trade bait.
someone should pick up Mike Smith and Ersberg immediately. how these guys were not drafted in this format is amazing.
overall though - I think its a very balanced draft and should be an interesting season

No respect for my team. If only Justin Williams didn\'t decide to tear his freakin\' achilles tendon it would have helped but Erat and Afino will be close to ppg.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.
well shoeless, looks like we\'re semi-underdogs. just where want to be! no one seems to have picked up on the fact that we\'ve got the GS, SV, and SA categories giftwrapped.
Everyone knows that you can\'t win with a group of tier 3 goalies!

I think everyone has forgotten that this is a H2H league... all it takes is one week... 1 game where Brodeur gets yanked after giving up 3 goals in 6 minutes for shit to hit the fan!
