Corey Perry is only 4 yrs older than Nyquist….I wouldn’t call it a large enough gap to make up the difference in talent. You can counter to see if you can squeeze more out of him, but you would win this deal in my books.

In a pts-only, the gap is close as Perry is not as valuable as he is in multi-cat but I he's still the better player here. I wouldn't mind trying to get a kicker to go with it but that might make the other owner blow you off.

I took the deal. The way I look at it is Nyquist is a 55 point player with a shot at 60. Perry is a 65 point player with a shot at 70.
