Trade Ehlers for a Defenceman?
My team is fairly weak right now on the back end.. A guy in my league wants Ehlers from me and he's offering a D man in return. ITs a keeper league (10 each year). Which of these guys would you do a 1 for 1 deal for Ehlers, providing the other GM accepts.

I feel like all of them are wins for me, but how good is Ehlers going to be? This GM seems quite keen on him. My team is in my signature.

He's not very valuable in fantasy IMO. The guy has hit 40 points 3 times in his career and only once in the last four years. Yes, in real-life he's a Norris Trophy candidate and one of the best defenseman in hockey. In fantasy? Not so much.Originally Posted by The Bottlenecker

That's an okay deal.. Definitely would have preferred Barrie, but Gio has a good couple years of elite production left in him. Huberdeau can be slightly overrated and MikaZ can be somewhat underrated. Nawwt horrible

People seem to forget Drew Doughty's only 25 :O He's done more in his career in the short time before most defenceman even break out. The best is yet to come -- I still refer to him as the last LA King to ever wear the number 8. Yeah, he's that good.
Anyhow, good trade. Ehlers is a legit talent that will have no problem moving up the Jets' roster, since they need someone like him more than anything. But Gio's solid when healthy and hopefully Zibanejad pans out for ya; he's due any day now.

Just saw you gave up Huberdeau as well. Sorry dude, gotta say you lost this one. Ehlers for Barrie/Doughty would have been a great deal.
