Default Need Help With Trade!! REP

For league in sig. This would be a follow up offer. Pulock replaces David Savard from a previous offer.

    My: Nilsson, Silverberg, Mattaa

    for

    His: Spezza, Abdelkader, Pulock

He has Talbot and Scrivens so locking up the goalie tandem in Edmonton would be huge. It's virtually impossible to trade for a goalie without giving one up in our league as well. If Nilsson becomes the starter (which could very well happen) the price will skyrocket so it would make sense for him to make a move before the price goes up. I’ve stockpiled a lot of young goalies to use as trade bait if need be so I could afford to lose Nilsson.

I need a center who wins faceoffs and Spezza fits the bill. Plus I can see him having a huge bounce back season. Dallas is looking like an offensive powerhouse and I’d like to snag Spezza now before his stock rises even more.

Should I sit tight with the group I have or make a move for Spezza? Is this enough to change his mind or should I counter with more? Possibly remove Pulock altogether?

Thanks for your help gents! I will hand out REP as much as possible.

Take the deal. Spezza fits your team needs very well (FW, points, SOG) and, like you, I think he's ina great position for a(nother) big season. Dallas does look very promising.

Also, Abdelkader will provide you a nice amount of HITS as well as some offense. I think this is a good trade for you. Silferberg and Maata are good players, but I think you will be getting the best bang-for-your-buck in this particular deal.

If you need a C to win faceoffs this is a good deal. There's no guarantee Nilsson works out, and if he does oh well you have more good guys on the way.

Just realize Pulock likely will not play much this year, and if he does it'll be in a depth role. I doubt he'll get #1 PP time. Perhaps ask for a more NHL ready D man if you can't stash Pulock? Otherwise I would do it

Not a bad trade but I would prefer to keep what you have. If you are in a win-now mode, it's a justifiable sacrifice, but if you aren't really, I think your 3 players should pan out very nicely sooner than later so I would hold on to them!

I really like this deal for you, Spezza should still have lots in the tank and on an offensive powerhouse in Dallas for years to come.

Pulock is a very solid prospect too.
