Lundqvist for Dubnyk or Bishop?

Lundqvist for one of those two plus I would attain a higher draft pick (maybe a 6 for a 3). Thoughts?

I would not. With Lundy you really know what your getting with no questions. Very consistent and very proven. There is a lot of love on this site for duby so I can see a range of answers on here.

This isn't that outrageous with the higher pick involved, but don't trade the King. I would only involve him in a deal for established top end talent.

He is aging, so maybe the time for that is coming, but look for something better than Dubnyk.

I would do that trade for bishop and the better pick without second thoughts. You're getting 5 years younger and bishop HAS proven over the past 2 seasons he's legit. His numbers mirror the king the past two years with higher win totals in both years.

Lundy only played 46 games and still got his 30 wins. Besides the lockout he's never got under 30 wins. Rangers are still a strong team so that's not about to change. Last year was his first major injury. He plays a lot of games with stellar numbers.

The way I see it, you're trading for his equal - shaving 5 years and improving draft position. TB is also a very strong team moving forward. Most goalies begin to see a drop in play around 33-35. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Lund, he is still elite, my opinion remains the offer favours taking bishop.

Most may not make the trade, I would and would be happy with the decision...

Uh ya. But that doesn't change my viewpoint on this one. Ive learned a long time ago to treat fantasy hockey as a (fun) business and keep bias to a minimum.

Personally I don't think it's a bad offer for either side (with either Dubnyk or Bishop) but I'd still keep Lundqvist. I just trust his numbers more.
