Advanced Stats: On Ice Corsi - Question
I want to be sure if I am on the right path...
A guy like, N.Foligno,
2014 had an on-ice Corsi of 3.07 and had 73pts
2013 had an on-ice Corsi of 2.18 and had 39pts
2012 had an on-ice Corsi of -5 and had 16pts
Observations:
1) His on ice corsi isn't incredible, but was 6th on the team (2014) so for CBJ I guess its good
2) On-ice Corsi jump from 2012->2013 was large, and the pts difference was about double
3) On-ice Corsi jump from 2013->2014 was small, and the pts difference was about double
Does that give me the impression that he had a lot of luck last year? Would be very difficult to see him repeat unless his Corsi jumps as well?
I know this is general, but need a good understanding
Thanks
