Need some goalie help ASAP!!!!!!!! (drafting now!)

15-team established roto keeper league, categories are W, GAA, SV%, and SHO.

Right now, my only goalie is Fleury. The first round in our re-draft is normally used for goalies (usually 12 of the 15 teams take a second goalie in the first round). I used my first rounder on Stamkos, so I\'m in need of a second goalie. An opportunity to trade up has presented itself, and here are the \"best\" available options at goalie (in no particular order):

Legace
Thomas
Garon
Toskala
Theodore
Gerber
Budaj
Halak
Conklin
Khabibulin
Mike Smith
Rinne
Rask
Hiller
Ersberg
Harding

I still haven\'t gotten in to trade talks, so I don\'t know if I\'ll be able (or willing) to make the move... but which 3-5 goalies would you target from this group? Also, is there anyone on this list that you would be VERY compelled to trade up for as your second goalie? Thanks!

I believe Theodore will have a successful year myself,
Washington looks to be pretty good team that should get him wins at the very least.

Legace still had great #s last year, but would think he loses alot of starts to mason, more so a 1a, 1b situation.. much like garon and smith. Gerber might be a good option too.. i think Ottawa should be ok, and even with their loss of offensive Dmen, they replaced it with decent defensive d men.. not a bad thing for goalies.

for a keeper league though, nothing looks more alluring then rask, but don\'t know if he sees ANY time this year barring a trade.. but i would want him on my team.

Budaj is young and has a chance at continuing his role as a #1, and i really like harding..

I would think osgood will get hurt at some point too.. giving conklin as sweet gig

Gerber
Thomas (bruins look to be a good team, fernandez will take alot of starts though)
Garon (i like the look of the oilers this year)
Toskala (great goalie on bad team, that should be forced to play alot of D)

if you don\'t think you\'ve a chance this season and are building, i love that rask kid

Karma to you for being the brave soul to respond first to this. Thanks for your input.

We can only keep one goalie and Fleury is my man... so my main priority with my second goalie is to help compete this year (have a definite shot... would be my third league title in four years).

toskala Toronto is going to be horrible this year
as to how I would rate these players for this year.
There are a few nice prospects but if it is only one goalie keep, you have to take the guys most likely to start or share starts to bump up those points

I agree with alot of what Kakow said in the earlier post. If you can afford to wait for a young goalie to develop then I would definately go with Rask. If you need a goalie for the next year or two I would go with either Theodore or Budaj. I think Theodore will put up good numbers with an up and coming Washington team, and Budaj will now be the definitive number #1 in Colorado. I think Colorado will have a stronger team than most people think. If Budaj can keep it together he will post some surprising numbers this year. Possibly (37 to 40 wins, .910 save percentage, 2.45 save percentage, 4 to 6 shut outs. I would stay away from guy\'s like Legace, Thomas, and Gerber. Legace because he will get hurt, Thomas will be splitting time with Fernandez, and Gerber just plain sucks!

I like:
Theodore (39 Wins, 2.60 GAA, .908 SV%, 3 SHO)
Garon (34 Wins, 2.52 GAA, .911 SV%, 4 SHO)
Gerber (33 Wins, 2.46 GAA, .912 SV%, 5 SHO)
Legace (30 Wins, 2.47 GAA, .915 SV%, 3 SHO)
Thomas (26 Wins, 2.56 GAA, .919 SV%, 1 SHO)

Ok, here\'s the potential deal:

Mueller/4th round DP (14th pick in the round)
for
Lupul/1st round DP (current pick)

With the draft pick, I would draft a goalie (one of Theodore, Gerber or Garon unless someone has a compelling argument for another). This would be my second goalie to go with Fleury... if I don\'t move up in the draft then all of the remaining starting goalies will be gone by my next pick (21 picks away and only about 8 starting goalies left). However, I hate to lose Mueller... I suppose Stamkos replaces him on my keeper list, but Mueller on the LW is very enticing for the future. Thoughts?

Well if Stamkos replaces Mueller in your protected list for next year then it is all about help for this year... Take the goalie... Lupul might surprise you in Philly too..... Who would you have dropped for Stamkos next year, otherwise?

At this point, the bottom of my keeper list is Mueller, Ry. Whitney and Radulov... but I\'m pretty dead-set on keeping Radulov and riding out the storm. So, Mueller or Whitney would be the player dropped to accommodate Stamkos.
