Is Ghost still the heir apparent to Philly's top PP unit even after the addition of Provorov?

I have much more faith in Provorov than Ghost. Maybe they can both play on the top PP but if I had to choose one of them, I'm going with Provorov.

Sanheim is also progressing very well. It's close but right now for me:

    1-Provorov
    2-Gostisbehere
    3-Sanheim
    Points only keeper league
    7 teams
    28 keepers
    Weekly line up: 12 F / 6 D / 2 G
    Goalie stats: W=2 / SO=2

Yah I was all for ghost but now that provorov is there...who knows who the top dog will be. My gut says Povorov will be a top pairing but ghost will be the PP specialist.

Ghost is far more risk / reward than Provorov. Gostisbehere's calling card is that of a riverboat gambler - he will take risks and push the attack. Provorov will be rock solid who will likely be completely trusted by Hakstol. If all goes perfectly for the Flyers, Ghost will be a PP mainstay with a slightly higher offensive ceiling than Provorov - but I put those chances at maybe 50/55%. I'm more confident that Provorov will turn into the Flyers version of Andrei Markov, Roman Josi, etc. when he reaches his ceiling.

    ^BUMP!

Good read. I was looking for more information on Gostisbehere as I picked him up on waivers late in the year.

Was disappointed when I didn't see him in the D pairings in the guide. I thought that this was the year he makes the club.....didn't he almost make it last year? Is he not the heir apparent to run the first power play?

Streit is a fossil and MDZ is well.....MDZ.....so why can't he possibly push these guys for their spots....

    is 22 years old...he's no baby.....played 2 games in late October with philly...combined for a -2 with 2 SOG......

..any thoughts would be appreciated........he's likely a drop for me....but I was hoping the decision would be much harder than this.........
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

He had a long-term injury (missed almost the entire season), so he probably needs time in the AHL because of that. I never really thought he would make the NHL last season; I fully expected him to need at least one season in the AHL first.

Right now, I'd say that the top PP will be Provorov's, so if the Flyers keep Voracek on the blueline during PP, that would push Gostisbehere to 2nd PP. Really hard to say what happens but I don't think his path to top PP is clear at all.

Streit missed only 13 games in 8 NHL seasons, he's one of the most durable defender on this planet and although he's 37, he will be No1 defender in Philly. Gotisbehere is at least another year away, so if you can park him in your farmteam, he's worth waiting, otherwise you can drop him.
