In a points only keeper, I would prefer Hedman but I wouldn't say "by a large margin".
In a points only league keeper, do you prefer Hedman by a large margin over Weber over the next 3 to 4 years ?

Hedman.
I think they are both D's that can flirt or surpass 50pts on a given year at this point, but that since Hedman is 5+ years younger, he would be my choice here.

If you think Hedman stays healthy, then Hedman is the better choice as he is still improving. If you want the player who always plays a full season, then Weber.
Hedman.

Weber for me.
He's PP1... always.
He & Josi had 3:05pptoi/gm and 3:06pptoi/gm last year, to lead the Preds.
Hedman (2:30pptoi/gm) and Stralman (2:28pptoi/gm) were #4/#5 on TB.
And this is because Cooper sends out a 4F:1D PP and 50% of the time Stralman starts it, 50% of the time Hedman starts it.
But the minutes are split.
If Hedman was consistently eating the PP1 minutes, I might go with him.
But he & Stralman are interchangeable as the 1D... and that scares me a bit.
TB is also a bit deeper on D and rolls out their 3 D-pairings.
This means Hedman sits at 22min/gp each of last couple years... whereas NAS power-uses Weber-Josi. (26min/gp)
Stralman is signed long-term and Cooper ain't going anywhere... which means, this (splitting Hedman/Stralman on the PP) will likely continue.
I'd actually expect Hedman's ESP stats to start dipping in points as TB feels the cap crunch of the forwards being due bigger contracts.
the numbers don't lie.....

This is a very good point. The OP asked about 3-4 years down the road and in that time Stamkos, Palat, Johnson, and most of the younger stars will need new contracts as well as Hedman. Those are going to be some fun raises to give so who knows how this team stays together in that time. Weber is the tried and true near sure thing each season.
Weber for me.

In points-only formats, I think Hedman is the winner here by a decent margin. He's going to produce 50+ consistently if healthy, while Weber should start to decline in terms of raw point totals. Multi-category, it's still Weber by a large, large margin though.

I like them pretty much the same over that span. I would probably take Hedman just in front of Weber.
Toughie, but I would probably go Weber. Hedmonster has arrived, but as was mentioned above, lots of factors that could influence his stats, not to mention his quasi band-aid boy status. I own Hedman, but there remains some uncertainty regarding what to expect this and in coming years.
No questions with Weber and if I were to make a wager who pots 20 goals per year, its gotta be Weber for the next few.

"Wide margin" - absolutely not. A lot of Hedman's ceiling depends on his role and how much PP time he gets. The way I see it - if Hedman's role stays the same (meaning he gets top PP duty off & on and misses 8-10 games a year) I think he and Weber are both locks for 48-55 points a pop. However, if Hedman stays healthy and is a PP mainstay, his upside is the 2nd best fantasy D own on the planet behind Karlsson. At the end of the day I think Hedman will have a couple 60-70 point seasons to go along with his Norris Trophies.
