    Default Interested...Milbury talk...

I am very interested, somebody brought up Milbury in another post, I am curious to know what Milbury traded away over the years. I know there must be some huge Islanders fans out there that must know the answer to this. I know Joikinen,Chara,Luongo, the draft pick that netted Spezza, are just some of the players sent packing. Can anybody please give me a list and something more to laugh at. Thanks guys.

From 2004 but good to get you started laughing:
    The article is pretty funny
    http://www.foursport.ca/June4_2004.htm

    and some other notables:

    Bertuzzi and Mccabe for Linden:
Needless to say, look how Bertuzzi turned out, and look where Mccabe is now as well. And the funny thing is, Linden ended up back in Vancouver. That is one of the 2!

Yashin for Chara and 2nd overall pick (Spezza)
Yikes, they Islanders are still paying for this one. Signing Yashin for so much is killing them now, and they regret this more than any other trade they have made. Chara has become a stud on the blue line, runner for the Norris. And Spezza is just waiting to break out and have a great season. Some might argue he already had a good year with 55 points the previous year. This has to be the best trade Ottawa has ever made.

    Redden for Berard
This is a close second to the best trade Ottawa has ever made. Redden flourished in Ottawa, and Berard did not have his best years on the Island. Although he became a good player in Toronto, and through no fault of his own, was injured. But even before, Redden was a better player than he was.

    Berard for Potvin.
Wow, Toronto was desperate to unload Potvin, and might have traded him for pucks, instead, the Islanders give up Berard. Wow, Toronto scored here, and if it wasn’t for the eye injury, then he still might be the stud there.

    Peca for York
Granted, they needed to clear cap room, but still, this is a no brainer. They put them self in this situation.

Luongo and Jokien for Parrish and Kvasha
One’s arguably the best goalie in the league, the other the captain of the Panther. Parrish is ok, same with Kvasha, but if you even have to think about what two players you would rather have, you better get your head examined.
