    Default Martin StLouis

Was watching the Ranger game and with about 5 min left he hyper extended his knee, and left the ice gingerly. I could actually see him talking to the trainer on tv and he said the word "POP". I could use some immediate info here as our waivers are every monday morning weekly. Im in a race for 1st in a total points pool and hes not a keeper. Not sure whether to keep him or drop him for a guy like spooner or nestarjil.

Keep your eye on all the hockey related sites to watch for any news. Unless they mention something immediately it probably means that he is okay or will undergo further testing Monday, probably too late for your Monday morning deadline. St Louis is a strong player with exceptional leg strength so he might be okay, but "pop" is not a good indication. Since he has slowed down a bit in recent weeks I wouldn't be afraid to replace him.

im leaning towards spooner anyways...Only 14 games left. Marty has been avg at best the past month or so. Spooner will get 1st line minutes and pp time for at least a cpl weeks until krejci is back

    This article doesn't tell much.
    http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey...nee-1.10064982

"Martin St. Louis could be the latest Ranger on the shelf.
St. Louis left Sunday night's 2-1 win over the Panthers with what appeared to be a knee injury after he fell awkwardly in a collision with Florida defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and left the game with just over three minutes to play.
The 39-year-old winger, who has 20 goals and 27 assists and has played in every game this season, limped to the bench. During a stoppage, he skated slowly to the trainer's room.

Alain Vigneault said the initial review was that the injury "doesn't seem to be serious, but we'll know more [Monday].''"

    Just found this:

    http://www.northjersey.com/sports/ra...jury-1.1290200

"The Rangers' injury list continues to grow as the team announced right wing Marty St. Louis will be out 10-14 days with a lower body injury suffered late in Sunday night’s 2-1 win over the Panthers."

was watching the rangers game a few days ago..i think maybe sunday or monday? Possibly sat and the girl that does the intermission report had just happened to say "with Marty at least a week away"....which would take him to the very end of the 14 day window. I know this isnt anything to rely on , just saying what i heard and hope it helps.
