Nail Yakupov will not play on Tuesday due to a tweaked groin.
Oilers coach Todd Nelson described this as a precautionary move and emphasized that Yakupov is just day-to-day. The timing is unfortunate though as Yakupov has been red hot lately with four goals and eight points in his last eight games. With Yakupov unavailable, Matt Fraser is likely to take his spot on the second line with Derek Roy and Teddy Purcell.

Yakupov was a minus-one Saturday as the Oilers dropped a 2-1 decision to the Blues. He missed one game with injury. Yakupov has been hot of late with four goals and eight points in his previous eight games as the 21-year-old is showing signs of why he was selected first overall in 2012.
