Agreed but unless he gets the geezers into the playoffs which he won't then I don't think he will get a nomination. It's sad though looks like he will squander his prime years playing for s non progressive NJ team.
This guy has just been phenomenal lately, doesn't seem to get much credit for turning his numbers around and stealing wins for an awful NJ senior citizens squad

I don't consider him a dark horse because there's pretty much zero chance he gets votes above Rinne or Price. Pretty amazing run though.

If NJD get into the playoffs, he could be nominated. However it’s a 2 man race between Price and Rinne. Even if Schneider comes out with similar stats (on a worse team) he’ll be behind in Wins and that’s a big category for the Vezina. My 3 are Rinne, Price, and Holtby.
Rask (2103-14):
36W, 0.930S%, 2.04GAA, 7SO
Price:
32W, 0.935S%, 1.93GAA, 5SO
Rinne:
34W, 0.932S%, 1.94GAA, 3SO
Holtby:
27W, 0.924S%, 2.17GAA, 6SO
Schneider:
20W, 0.924S%, 2.27GAA, 2SO
I was saying at the beginning of the yr my outside shot Vezina winner would be Schneider, but the team simply hasn’t won enough games for me to see that. I’d be seriously shocked if he gets to 33W (20W now, 25games left)

Price & Rinne for sure, frontrunners.
Schneider is a darkhorse in the sense that maybe, perhaps... he can slide into the #3 slot in voting IF Holtby falls on his face.
But I think Holtby will garner the 3rd amount of votes.
Rinne.
Price.
Holtby.
(For my Vezina voting at this stage...)
Yeah I'd say Schneider is a solid dark horse to be nominated for the award. That's fair.

Rinne and Price are so far ahead of the pack, the rest don't matter. Didn't Dobber have Rinne ranked in the twenties before the season...
We saw 2 yrs ago when Bobrovsky won all it takes is a well-timed string of wins with the goalie carrying the team to win a Vezina tho. But Rinne and Price have pushed so far ahead 3rd place is a filler. If Schneider gets 18W-3-4 to finish the yr (74GP - 38W-25-11) for NJD to finish with 91pts and prolly the final playoff spot, he could very well win.
