trying to incorporate 2 pools in one

I am in a straight points keeper league, of which I was victorious last year. A few of the participants want to make it into a H2H league because they say our current format is boring. We protect 20 players regardless of position, we start 12 forwards, 6 defence and 2 goalies, we have 10 players in our reserve. Im a little iffy on H2H as it will change everything. Does anyone know of a hockeypool website that can incorporate half H2H and half straight points total all in one shot, sort of like 2 pools in one deal....that way we get the benefit of both formats, is it possible to do H2H only on saturdays becuase saturdays is usually the biggest night for hockey games.....also where can i find out what teams play the most saturday games,that would be beneficial to me.

I don\'t know of a pool provider that will do that for you - I guess simply starting another pool and transferring your teams over as if they had been drafted would give you the two pool effect. Kind of a pain but could make things a little more interesting.

yeah what you could do is set it up as a H2H league using your existing rosters and play it out that way. Then you could either continue to maintain the other pts only pool (keeping the rosters in synch) or even just keep track of it yourself, since its only pts it wouldn\'t be too hard, just hafta make sure you keep an accurate count of points before trades go thru.

Yeah points only is pretty easy to track separately and you could always put in that ol\' points carry over on trades to add a new kink to your league that would give it some spark and avoid the need for the careful tracking McGoo indicates.

Well if there isnt a site that can hold both formats as one pool I suppose we can keep track of it ourselves, but if anyone does come across something that can do it, please let me know. What is the webaddress of these H2H sites??

I think their idea was to incorporate 6 forwards, 4 defence, and 1 goalie for h2h every saturday night. With the possibility that after the first year they would further evolve the h2h to be more detailed using 2C\'s,2LW\'s,2RW\'s as the 6 forwards...do these h2h leagues tell you what players positions are? do they let you know what defencemen play on the right side and left side?

And don\'t use a site, bust out excel and do it yourself. That\'s how I\'ve run my dynasty pool for the last 10 years.
