I find it strange that he's getting paid that much. Hell, he's getting paid more than Andersen. Am I right in thinking that he will be more than just a backup? Like a 1A/1B situation. I'm asking this because I possibly have a chance in acquiring Andersen. But, I'm kinda scared that he might lose a good chunk of his starts to Bryz.

That would probably be my first guess. If all they wanted was a back up, they could have signed a bunch of other guys for like $1 mil. They're making a push for the cup and they want a veteran goalie than can be good enough to start half the games if needed.

The Ducks activated Lababera, so I am guessing he gets the start in Winnipeg in the B2B. Heatley assigned to long term conditioning stint in the minors by the way.
