Default Who to give up for Malkin ?

    Keep 6 / G, A, +/-, Pims, Sog, PPP

    Currently my keepers would be:
Giroux C, Backstrom C, Hall LW, Hedman, Rask, Lundqvist
    On the bubble P.Kane

    Makin C/RW
I'd like to pick up Malkin and include him in my keepers.
I would have to send back one of Giroux, Backstrom, Hall, Kane

Appreciate all input to help with which player to move for Malkin.

Luckily you have a lot of good pieces. How strong is the Malkin owner's top 6? If he has a strong team you'll have to give more. If he has a weak team you can argue that youre improving his 6 keepers.

Giroux straight up might get it done...the question is whether it's a good idea to give him up. I would do it, but others would say otherwise.

Backstrom+ is probably the next best centerpiece. Hall and Kane are top pieces but they might be a hair below Backstrom.

Try maybe Backstrom and a dman, Hedman if you're comfortable with giving up your one D keeper.

You could try Hall+Spezza or Kane+Spezza but that probably won't be enough.

But to be honest if I were a Malkin owner in a keep 6 I wouldn't move him for anything less than Giroux+, or Hall+Backstrom, or Hall+Kane.

Agree with the above. Except I feel that P. Kane tends to be overrated by managers and Backstrom is underrated by managers. So, my advice would be to see how much leverage you can get out of Patrick Kane (maybe don't offer him first) and then see what other pieces the other manager is looking for (d, goaltending, etc.) If he has a goalie who is slightly under Lundy, you could use the King and the upgrade you'd be giving him in goal to rationalize him giving you an upgrade at forward.

Just my thoughts.... But, go forward and get thee Malkin!!!! ... (just don't get ripped off)

It's a tough trade. The other g/m is a very close friend and new to keeper hockey. He took over an inactive team. Best pieces, Malkin, Wheeler, E.Kane, Lucic, St.louis, J.Thornton, Buff, Backes, Kronwall, Elliott, Holtby.
He has been trying to make trades to build a decent keep 6.
I was looking at either Kane or Backstrom with Shattenkirk. I know he's been offered Duchene and Weber which is a good offer.
