Hey guys,
I used to be a huge music nut in high school...played the piano, alto sax, and guitar. Then I went to university and kind of dropped everything. I kind of wanna pick up the piano again just to have some fun and play popular songs...I was wondering if any of you guys know of any good sites to buy legitimate piano sheet music for pop music.
For example one tune that I really wanted to learn for the holiday season is Christmas Lights by Coldplay. I found one on www.musicnotes.com but I've never bought from them before and dunno how legit it is.

The best time to learn an instrument was 10 years ago. The second best time is today.
You'd be surprised at the number of non-children students in my wife's studio. All taking piano or voice or guitar, etc. More and more people are willing to do what forumname and Mr. Guru suggest. Don't put it off, because 5 years from now you could be saying to yourself "Man I should have started playing the piano."
Pursue your interests whatever they are and you will be happier knowing that you tried.
Just to clarify...I have attempted guitar, drums, harmonica with no success. I just think I am musically uncoordinated for creation but can listen fine and pick out details others miss. You are all correct - it is never too old to learn something and in my mid-late 40s I have been studying Mandarin, which doesn't require as much coordination.
Side note: I already create, being an artisan and visual artist

I picked up my guitar last night. Could only remember 2 of the 5 chords I learned 10 years ago... when I was single and had oodles of time.
Now, there's absolutely 0 time for working on my own hobbies... unless it's fitting it in at my computer at work (RIGHT NOW!)
LOL.
Good for you bondon for staying with the music.
There's something about live music that is just so enjoyable.
You should throw up a youtube link of your fingers pounding out that coldplay song when you finally perfect it.
(Not kidding, I'll put it on my 2nd monitor and give you a thumbs up!)
Man... every time I see bondon post in the lounge I think 'That guy is so much cooler than me...' it makes me sad.
But at least I've never wrecked a goalie's career, and that's gotta count for something, right?

Err, I think the more appropriate response would be "That guy has so much more spare time than me"....though I suppose depending on how you look at it, it might still make you sad lol.
And shaddup, can you say that you've had your name verbalized? Because I can. If anything THAT makes me cool. Or at least...that's what i keep telling myself....But wait, is that what's causing me to be so UNcool? I can't figure out how this voodoo curse I've got works.
