Lets see, I would target Bob or Varly with one, then Pavelski, Byfuglien (if D-eligible) , Kunitz, Simmonds
So I've got a draft tomorrow evening. Currently keeping Karlsson, MacKinnon, and Backstrom. As everybody else but one guy is keeping five players, I have a few early picks to figure out before the draft gets into full swing. I have the second, fourth, and seventh overall picks to start with. How would you rank the following players in a standard 6 x 4 Yahoo league:
Bobrovsky
Datsyuk
Letang
Staal
Johansen
Byfuglien
Varlamov
Simmonds
Pavelski
Pietrangalo
Hedman
D. Sedin
H. Sedin
Schneider
Kunitz
Sorry for the long list, but those are all the compelling names I think.

I think I would go after a goalie, a winger and a D guy. With these cats I would target:
G: Bobrovsky or Schneider
D: Byfulgien or Hedman
W: Simmonds or Kunitz - Pavelski would be a number 3 option for me because it looks like you need some grit in your lineup.
Bobrovsky
Schneider
Varlamov
Focus on one of those three in that order with your first pick.
From there, I would rank them:
Pavelski
Hedman
Byfuglien
Kunitz
Johansen (If still unsigned by draft date, let slip a bit more)
HSedin
Simmonds
Pietrangelo
DSedin
Datysuk
Letang
Staal (You didn't say what one)

I agree with Axeman's post. Except I'm nervous with Buff. I know he keeps getting done season after season but when he does start to decline, it's going to be ugly and it's going to be fast. Same thing happens with baseball players that are large (i.e. Cecil Fielder).
It might not happen this season, but Buff isn't likely to be one of those guys that maintains his level of play into his mid to late 30s. He's 33 now, the end should come sooner rather than later.
