After Squach started the best album thread, I figured I'd take a step further. Here are two bands I fell in love with, after I fell in love with the album covers. To this day still a couple of my favorite bands.

Yes, love this one too! Now the big question is, were you a fan prior to this? For me seeing the Maiden Killers and the Kiss Alive covers hooked me like a shiny lure.

Wow there's a blast from the past. i was a big Roxy Music/ Bryan Ferry fan back in the 90's.
But for me the one that stands out is
As a nascent teenager who was subjected to his AM-Radio/oldies day in day out this was a turning point. Thanks to my Uncle who bought me the vinyl - immediately causing my mother's hair to turn grey.

Love the Maiden Killers album cover. The intro to the song Killers is one of the best song intros I have ever heard, IMO.
I think the following is the only record I ever bought based on the album cover and having never heard of the band. In fact, for a long time I did not know if the band was called "Crack The Sky" or "Raw". The band is "Crack The Sky". Awesome album.

Don't read into it too much bro, I'm not saying that's the way to go about it, but when your a kid and see Kiss Alive for the first time with smoke a flames or any Maiden album it grabs your attention.

One of my all time favorite intros. Love the way it transitions from the dueling guitar solos to Steve Harris' bass intro to Wrathchild....awesome. I still listen to this one front to back to this day, great metal album
Although I was a fan before this one came out, when it did it put them on another level. Another great album with an awesome intro.
