As much as I like having him on my fantasy roster, and I do look forward to what he does this year, what I really love about him is how he actually plays. 100% energy every time, plays like he\'s four inches taller, heart on his sleeve, makes things happen both with and without the puck. He\'s far from the best player out there, but he\'s one of those guys who gets you going.

For what though? He hasnt really done anything to warrant a 2 million dollar contract. Sean Avery had to go to arbitration before last season when he was way more valuable to the Rangers but only got 1.9 million. Even Prucha is making dirt pay and he had 30 goals.

If Dawes gets 25-30 this season then I think he\'ll get his $2+ million next off season. Thats when the Rangers can wave bye-bye(although I like his game and dont wanna see him leave at all.)
