Top seed... Knocked out on tiebreaker.
After a great season my goalies really screwed me this week. I ended up tying for the week. To my dismay, a quick Google searched showed the playoff tiebreaker on Yahoo is head to head stats. Even though I was the top seed in the league, he beat me during our one H2H match.
In closing, screw the yahoo tiebreaker and thanks a lot Rinne, Hiller, and Fasth for a fantastic week.

Thanks to your post, now I'm sweating!! I'm top seed, had 1st week bye, playing a very tough opponent for semis this week in Yahoo H2H. I won our 1st regular season match up 7-4, but lost the second match up 4-7... so if we tie in the playoffs this week... what is the tie breaker then? Anyone know??? Is it as simple as highest regular season seed? Which would be me (1st vs. 5th)!

Sorry buddy, I have felt that pain before. Hopefully your pool rewards regular season winners. That is the bigger feat.

While that sucks, H2H match ups are the best tie breaker. I'm pretty sure Fantrax uses that too.

I'm pretty sure the secondary tiebreaker is Total Points, then it goes to Total Wins (category wins). Pretty sure that's the default "tiebreaker tree" for Yahoo.Originally Posted by mbudz4

I'm complaining about it now, but I'm sure I would agree if I was the one moving on. However, it seems like the best team in the regular season should be handed the tiebreaker. Oh well, them's the breaks I guess.

That's how it should be. Especially if you only face a team once, luckily I faced each team twice and some 3 times and I own the tie-breaker against all the teams left. Only one team had my # all season and he didn't get in, but he lost out by a narrow margin...not saying he would have beaten my for a 3rd time but a tie to the lowest seeded team only to lose on a tie-breaker would have been brutal after all the time that was put in.
