What are you getting for him?
Title says it all. I am very close to selling low on Nash before tomorrow's deadline because I can't bear to drag his non-scoring, non-hitting, soulcrushing, dream-destroying ass through three rounds of H2H playoffs. Of course, now I hear he saw time with St. Louis towards the end of the last Ranger game. Since everything I trade turns to gold this year, I am a bit hesitant to deal him tonight and have him turn awesome on Thursday.
So what are your thoughts? Is a resurgence in the cards, or is he just stumbling through the season from hell with no hope of a turnaround? Should I give him the boot for a temporary roster upgrade and a high pick, or should I stick with him?
What are you getting for him?
Points-only, Full Keeper Dynasty League
Active roster (no starts, just total points): 12 FW, 6 D, 1 Goalie

Defense: Josi, Dahlin, Letang, Gostisbehere, Ekman-Larsson, Petry, Slavin, Keith, Matheson
Goal: Lehner, Holtby, Varlamov
Farm: Soderstrom, York, Woo, Tracey, Dorofeyev
I don't see any of the Ranger's 'star' forwards doing anything special.....Nash has been invisible since the Olympics, and there's no way St. Louis puts up points like he did in Tampa. He's been pretty meh since the trade too.

The playoffs are a game of small sample sizes and Nash could go off for a couple of weeks, easily. St. Louis has had all of four games, all spent with Richards thanks to the assumption that a half-decade away from each other doesn't hurt chemistry.
I'd like to know what you are getting back. As a Nash owner, I wouldn't sell yet.

He was stuck on a line with St. Louis (and Stepan) for the last period of their last game. So yeah, there is a decent chance he sticks with St. Louis for another game or two and gets experimented with. Regardless of whether or not he sticks with MSL though, I wouldn't "sell low" on Nash. He'll come around.
Hopefully Nash and St.Louis can click because Marty hasn't done squat since he's in the NY.

I did, and I don't even want to talk about what I got for him.
Fine, Erik Johnson and a top-3 pick for this summer's draft (non-keepers + 2014 class + FAs. Awful, I know, but I really want to win, and aside from his shots being decent, he was just a gaping hole in my lineup. I know deep down that this was wrong, but I get crazy at playoff time. Thanks for all the advice guys. Much appreciated even if I didn't listen.
Top3 pick at 2014 draft + non-keepers isn't bad value, at all. I think you definitely sold low, but you could've done a lot worse IMO. If you think this is what your team needed, then good job.
Cheers.

Agreed. I see Nash on the downside already and for his size he plays a perimiter game and doesn't drive the net anymore. I missed the beginning but is their cap or salary involved? I value Nash as a 60 pt guy tops going forward (maybe a bit low but I'm worried about him regaining his 70+ form)
