So, Dobber,
Was browsing through your site and found your announcement.
The 2008C pack AND a T-shirt?
That\'s very generous, thank you very much.
I\'ve already picked out my shirt (no, it\'s not the pricey model), and I\'m guessing you\'ll be letting us know the how on that later.
As to next year, I\'ll be there in Sept/Oct.
Hmmm, the \"PRO\" level, it does sound a bit intimidating.
However, to all you \"guailo\" out there:
remember......
it\'s The Year of the Rat.
I will definitely be back for the Pro league next season.
Last season was my first roto league experience, it was amazing.

ya a few of us were freshies with the roto style. a very interesting format to say the least. was a very fun year tho and now that we\'ve all been blooded things should be a little tighter next year i\'d think. at least next year i won\'t be burning up all my games played with a few weeks left in the year lmao. thanks again for the great fun, can\'t wait until next year.

Including myself, I think 9 out of the 11 people in the Division 3 pool(one guy drafted but then never showed up) were first-timers.
The second-place finisher was one of those with experience. I\'m not sure he would say it actually helped him much, he still ran out of racetrack near the end.
The guys in our pool got to know each other to some extent, and I\'m sorry that more are not coming with me.
They seemed good guys.
Is that what happened in Division 2 also?
I really liked the daily transactions, I\'m hoping Dobber will let it stand in the \"Pro\" division.
rich
Gosh, I completely missed this, sorry for the delayed response.
You are more than welcome to the spot Crazynuck. I think you would be a great addition to the pro division. Good luck with it!
Thanks for the opportunity Dobber - no doubt it would be fun. My heart lies in other areas in Dobberhockey and that\'s where I am content to stay and participate and if it\'s in the cards to do some developmental stuff as we spoke about several months ago that would be cool too.
I think I know a solution to your commissioner issues if you still want an external commissioner for your pro and entry levels, wherein they don\'t actually have a team - a little toy in Yahoo is available I think. I also believe there is a way to open the leagues up after they start for the public to come in and gander - I think that would be a good idea for us voyeurs - kinda would make the leagues accessible to all then. If you need a hand with these leagues and I can help - let me know.
Good luck to all the teams in the 3 leagues in this second season.
I think its a great idea to let the Dobber community view the status of the pools.
Shoeless thx for the spot. I hope its still available for me and it should be alot of fun.

Just to let you guys know - the independent commish is based on a work around using a co-manager for the commishs team - wherein the co-manager would actually own and manage the team but the commish would be in a position to run the league from inside without actually have a team other than on paper - no phony team needed - Yahoo has taken the idea of an independent commish to their production department to see if the idea is worth implementing.
They are also working on the idea of how to make a custom league viewable by other users on our site.
I just got this back from Yahoo - sounds like it might work for the Dobber leagues if they make it happen.
Hello Shoeless,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Sports.
I appreciate you submitting your suggestions and enhancements to the Yahoo! Sports team. Your remarks have been noted and will be given due consideration.
A enhancement request has been submitted to allow a \"Fans\" section. This would allow managers to invite friends to join each league with view only access so they can review the activity of the league.
What would be nice is if they would finally implement keeper functionality. Yahoo makes a lot of changes every year, and it wouldn\'t surprise me if they stuck something in there in August.
That would certainly be a big deal for fantasy hockey if they did. Also, I think being able to run tiered leagues using the same player pool (much like Comish is doing with his dynasty league) would be sweet.
