in a standard league i like Fowler better however i am not sure i like him better enough to warrant using a one and only waiver move this early in the season
In redraft who do you like best this season? I only have one move remaining for the season so need to make the right decision.
Yahoo 8 team H2H, standard scoring league:
C (4) - Claude Giroux, Tyler Seguin, Ryan Kessler, Mikko Koivu, Mark Scheifele
LW (4) – James Neal, Patrick Sharp, Ryan O’Reilly, Jonathan Drouin, Dustin Penner
RW (4) – Jakub Voracek, Jarome Iginla, David Backes, Radim Vrbata, Beau Bennett, Teemu Selanne
D (5) – Erik Karlsson, Duncan Keith, Brent Burns, Alex Pietrangelo, Tobias Enstrom, Ryan McDonagh
G (3) – Jonathan Quick, Roberto Luongo, Jonathan Bernier, Evgeni Nabokov

Fowler looks like he's starting to roll. I'd go with him and he's also on a better team.
This is definitely not a "last move of the season" sort of decision.
Fowler has the upside to score 45pts on that Anaheim team.
McDonagh is more of a 35-40pt defenseman... but I do like his peripherals (especially +/-) much better than Fowler.
Also, once Souray is back - Fowler might not be the QB on that Anaheim PP.
Even-strength, Fowler is a bottom pair defenseman... and the loss of even-strength ice-time coupled with not QB-ing the PP could hurt him in the last half/quarter of the season.
I remember a time not too long ago when Fowler was very highly touted on this forum. I still think he's a 40 point guy, but I'm really liking McD now as well. He has had more offensive opportunity thanks to MDZ's disappearing act and his offensive game started to flourish last season.
I think many people see him as a stay-at-home guy because he's so solid in that role and that's what he's been relegated to most of his short career, but now that I'm seeing more of him offensively since he's been #1 on the Rangers PP all season I think his offensive game will continue to improve.
I would take McD, but I definitely wouldn't burn up my last move on that lol.
I prefer McD in a roto league. But not enough to warrant using your last waiver pick-up.
