Default Week 8 QB Dilemma: Who should I start?

    A.Rodgers @ Min
    Stafford vs. Dal
    Romo @ Det

The consensus has Rodgers as a must start, the #1 start infact. My worries: His receiving corp is depleted with only Nelson healthy. Finley goes down this past week and Lacy appears to be every bit the workhorse. If they get up early, will they even need to pass?

Consensus has him as good play at home and a top 3 start. My worries, I also have Bush and Calvin. I win big or lose big starting all 3.

Consensus has him as a solid start. My worries is he is too inconsitent and Det's front may eat him. And he just pooped the bed vs. a horrible Eagles defense.

    What say you?

Rodgers for me. Dallas' defense has been solid lately and I would always start him over Romo. Cmon....Minnesota is terrible.

LOL... I know they are, but it is a divisional foe. I hear you, though. Thanks HR.

    Rodgers for me.
Don't forget that this is the NFL... everybody can catch a ball that hits their hands... and that's what Rodgers does.
He loses Jennings, he turns Cobb into a top 20 WR.
    He loses Cobb... etc.

Minnesota is totally lost... there is no faith they can score points any more and their defense is not going to play with any morsel of hope from herein.

Wow! How on Earth did you land those 3 QB's on your team? I follow a general rule in fantasy and it's "always start your studs" but you have 3.

Rodgers-obviously the best of the 3 but with the emergence of their run game, I think his numbers take a hit. He is still the safest start but offers the least upside of the 3 this week(crazy right?)

Stafford/Romo- 2 high scoring offenses that will no doubt have to throw to win in this game. It's a coin flip between the two as I think their numbers will be comparable. But I have a gambling problem and in your situation (Calvin and Bush) I would add Stafford. Con=they have a rough day at the office and you lose your week. Pro=you can laugh your ass off everytime Det scores a TD. Stafford is my choice here

Its a coin flip for me between Rogers ans Stafford. Stafford won the flip.

Well, it's a long story on how I got all 3. I totally transformed my team and pulled off some killer trades... I started with Rodgers and RG3. I moved RG3 and McFadden for Romo and Forte. This is a keeper league... I flipped Julio and Colston for Megatron...lol... Believe it or not, a frustrated GM dropped Stafford and I pounced!

    My current team:

    QB

    Rodgers
    Romo
    Stafford

    RB

    Bush
    Forte
    Spiller - killing me
Helu - scooped him this week

Andre Brown - Stashed on IR

    WR

    Megatron
    Welker
    P.Harvin
    Steve Smith
    T. Williams

    R. Cobb - stashed on IR
    TE

    Jordan Cameron
    Kicker

    Prater

    Defense

    N.O.

I appreciate your thoughts. Nice to see I am not the only one concerned about Rodgers taking a hit because of Lacy. Part of my thinking is that Bush's production comes from Stafford passing. I also like that it is a HOME game. Don't get me wrong about Rodgers, he's a beast. It's just that he hasn't been THE beast he normally can be.

Ew, another for Stafford. Now it is getting interesting. I know Minn's D is the weaker of the 2 (compared to Dal), but I wonder how much Rodgers will need to throw once they do go up. I mean, Minn's O is pathetic. Packers really may just run the ball. Another factor is the guy I play against has Lacy this week.

Tough decision, but Stafford is the choice for me. Obviously, they chuck the ball all over the barn in Detroit, and that just won't change in the foreseeable future. But it helps that Dallas' offense can keep up. Can't say I'd confidently predict the same for the Vikes' O against Green Bay.

And I'd not get too worked up about facing the Cowboys' D just yet. Last week can be chalked up to showing why Vick handily beat out Foles in the Eagles' preseason QB competition. Statistically, Dallas' D is almost identically as bad as Minny's D, with the exception being that Minny allows far more rushing TDs. Dallas has allowed only 3 rushing TDs all year, meaning that if you want to put the ball in the endzone, your best bet for doing so is through the air -- the comparative strength of Detroit's offense.

Very easy choice. Aaron Rodgers. Not even remotely close. Considering anyone else is just absolutely crazy and ridiculous IMO.

And I go against my gut and start Rodgers. Stafford puts up 32pts. It doesn't appear that Rodgers will come close... smh. Aaron Rodgers this year is not Aaron Rodgers from previous years. And this was the case before he lost virtually all of his receivers. Thanks for the help guys, but apparently even Aaron Rodgers needs an OL and SOME receivers to be a MUST start.
