    Default Doug Martin

Worse arrived Monday morning when the Bucs learned that Pro Bowl running back Doug Martin suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder and is out indefinitely.

Martin was injured attempting to make a catch near the goal line early in the third quarter of the Bucs' 31-23 loss to the Falcons on Sunday. The injury could be season-ending, but the team will wait several weeks before determining that in hopes that its rushing leader will respond to treatment and play again this year.

Should I drop him at this point or should I hold onto him in hopes that he will come back? I think my RB depth will be adequate for now but I would really prefer not to have to play Rodgers and Stacy this week if I could avoid it and the only players on my team that I would consider dropping for waiver adds this week are Rodgers, Martin, and maybe Bell but I'd really like to hold onto Bell because I need a backup plan incase Reggie Bush gets hurt.

Waivers are tonight so I've got to make the decision by tonight.

Trade away to someone who wants to gamble. Any return would be enough for me.

Don't drop him. I have him in 2 leagues and am keeping him. If you drop him then someone else can pick him up and potentially use him in the playoffs against you if he does come back.

All "experts" seem to agree that there is no way he's coming back this year. Trade him now before he gets put on IR after the second opinion from another doctor.

After today's news that Martin might not be done for the season, what are people doing with him?

I'm thinking about dropping him for Andre Brown, as the timetable for their return appear to be similar but Brown might be in a better situation.

Any thoughts or moves that people have already made on him?

I snagged M. James off the waiver in my $$$ league, earlier pre-season. Needed to start him this week due to byes and such...hopin' he picks it up a bit.

But this is the reason I say you trade him away. Looking at this thread I am sure you can find someone that is willing to pay something.

I doubt you could get anything of value of him in nonkeeper formats. No one would be willing to take the risk. If you already have him, there's nothing you can do but hold him and hope.

who knows. Thats why I said I would take ANYTHING in return. Handcuff to your RB or something. If nobody bites I guess you could hold, but I would much rather use that roster spot on something else.
