    Default WR pickup

    12 team 0.5ppr starting 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex(RB/WR/TE), 1OP (QB/RB/WR/TE), K, D/ST

    My team:
    QB - C.Newton, A.Dalton, A.Smith
    RB - A.Peterson, R.Bush, G.Bernard, R.Helu, S.Vereen
    WR - M.Wallace, T.Williams, M.Williams, J.Edelman, R.Randle
    TE - J.Cameron
    K - M.Crosby
    D/ST - CIN

I'm looking at the wire and I'm considering picking up J.Reed for Cameron's BYE in wk 9 and I'm also thinking to take J.Boykin. The question is who should I drop? I'm thinking 2 of:
    1) Vereen - out until wk 11,
    2) Edelman - hasn't really been putting up any stats and Gronk's back to take away targets, and
    3) M.Williams - making his way back from injury, but value is heavily TD dependent
    4) Randle - WR3 behind Cruz and Nicks, but good looking schedule for the remainder of the year

I would let go of Edleman and Williams for the reasons you listed.

Definitely drop Edleman and Williams over Vereen and Randle.

Edelman and Williams, but I almost think I would drop Helu over Williams.

Helu scored 3 TD last week. Williams only has 2 all season. Williams has only 7 more receptions than Helu this season. And Alfred Morris fumbled last week.

    Same here.

But I'd continue to monitor both Williams' output and the goings on with James Jones. Boykin will lose some value as Jones gets back and I'd think that defenses just won't let Glannon continue to lock onto VJax exclusively.

Lol. Love fantasy owners like this. Chasing last weeks touchdowns. Helu won't have a multi-touchdown game again all season. League starts 2 RBs and 3 WRs. With AP, Bush, Gio, and Vereen, he's never going to start Helu.

Helu is talented enough that he could dip into Morris' workload...especially if Morris continues to fumble. Williams has been equally useless with much less upside. He can always trade a RB for a WR if he needs to. People are always looking for RB.

Give me Randle. He's about to supplant Nicks.

Totally agree. I'm not saying Helu goes out and scores 3 TDs this week, but he didn't get those RZ carries by random chance. Morris doesn't look like the same back this year, and Helu is a talent. He isn't no mere waiver add. He's a legitimate threat to Morris, so don't drop him.

Just to update everyone - I didn't see most of the responses before our FAAB ran and I ended up picking up Reed and Boykins and dropping Edelman and Williams yesterday.

Then I dropped Helu today to pick up Amendola who was cut yesterday.

I figure that I should be okay at RB with AP, Bush, Bernard and Vereen and I'd rather gamble on Amendola's upside since he'd be closer to starting (when healthy) than Helu.

Good moves all around Qstar. Wish I got in on Boykins myself.
