Decent D but might need help
hey guys, on paper I think I have a solid D group but so far, I'm dead last on goals and tied for last spot on assists too.
it's early I know but I thought I would have a better start than this... Giroux, Simmonds and Marchand are doing nothing and Nash is on IR
I might need to sit some of them because more than half of my team are having a horrible start
Goligoski is currently available and Gonchar will be in two days
should I try to pick one up? maybe drop my backup D (Fowler) for one of them
or should I try to trade Doughty for somebody else like Weber...
any help would be appreciated, ty

If you're looking for D to get goals I wouldn't trade Doughty. Also Goligoski is ice cold, more than half the time he doesn't even register a shot. Acquiring 1 d man is not going to do much to get your G and A up at all (unless it was Subban lol). I would say hang tight and keep praying your top guys start picking it up.
Any other FA you could replace Fowler with? Or maybe even drop him for another forward?

As you mentioned, other than Nash you don't really have a 30+ scorer on your roster. Your overall balance is nice, but you have a number of underperformers (Giroux, Simmonds, Marchand, Yandle, etc.) hurting you. Picking up goal scorers (and goalies) after the season starts is a challenge.
If I were you I would look to bring in a scoring wing and build up your roster around 'toolbox' (roto cat) guys that will contribute across the board (Dubinsky, Downie, Clarkson may be guys available on the Yahoo WW). There may be some streaky SOG/G guys available on the WW too like Vrbata or Hornqvist which could also be short-term pick-ups until Nash comes back.
You have some D assets you could look to move for someone who's underperforming/injured that has 30+ potential like Neal, Pac, Benn or others. Or you could try giving up a combo to land someone bigger like a Zetterberg.
I think your underperformers will bounce back buy you're still going to want another goal scorer.
