That will be a good situation for Kolzig. I am happy for him, that he got the opportunity to continue playing. He could very well end up being the starter for a decent team.

At the end of the day, I am sure that he is very bitter with Washington. Rightly so. On the surface, that changing of goaltenders, certainly didn\'t appear to be handled well. Albeit Kolzig is not what he used to be.
nothing at all against kolzig, but huet outplayed him down the stretch... The coach alternated starts initially, but Huet was just more solid.

If kolzig cannot understand that, then he\'s a fool.

Now I can understand that Kolzig would be mad that MANAGEMENT brought in Huet in the first place... but the transition to Huet was handled quite well in my opinion...

I think all his bitterness (bringing in Huet, not offering him an extension) is aimed at Washington brass... not the coaching staff.

Don\'t disagree with your comments, Lanky. I could see him being bitter with George McPhee. He gave them great service over a lot of years. He probably had an expectation to retire as a Capital with his jersey retired to the rafters.

There is no question that he is not what he use to be and that he couldn\'t carry the Capitals any longer. They did the right thing, obviously Kolzig wasn\'t prepared to accept reality of the situation.
