Drop Dillon.
For my sim league, G, A, Hits, +/- matter most.
Protections due on Sunday, and I have to let one of these guys go.
Pirri
Jurco
Larsson (Buff)
Panik
I'd likely be trying to get the guy I let go back in the draft if I can. I'm thinking Jurco is the furthest away from the NHL (2+ yrs) while the rest will all be playing this year, so he's the one to cut. My second choice is Larsson, but I've been hearing good things about him in Buff.
Another option would be to cut Brenden Dillon from Dallas, keeping all the forwards, but in a sim league Dillon's size, hitting and defensive prowess make him more valuable than in most formats - plus I do think he has upside (35+ points) - or am I over valuing his offensive potential?
Any advice would be appreciated. (rep as always)

I agree with you that Pirri and Panik should not be considered to be cut. I think you have a pretty good grasp on the situation here. I would probably keep Dillon as well.
Being a sim league, you have to keep Dillon. There is some upside there to go with his hits and what should be a solid +/-.
Jurco is the drop, he's just too far from the NHL. 2+ years is the low end, with as many as 4-5 years being in the Detroit system. Larsson doesn't have quite the upside so take that into consideration if you prefer home run types over safer players.

With this being a sim league plus the fact Jurco is likely three to four more years away from being in a position to crack Detroit's roster(if ever) I would definitely drop him. Dropping Panik or Dillon shouldn't even be an option IMO. Panik will be firmly established as top nine contributor in TB and has legit 30 goal, 60 pt upside. Think of him as a much tougher, much more physical version of Radim Vrbata. I see Dillon blossoming into a legit top pairing defenseman while Larsson will at the very minimum make an impact as a top nine forward for the lowly Sabres.
Hope this helps.
