My sources tell me that 3-legged sack races are held by the writers on consecutive Sundays until a position is determined. this also explains why Yahoo! took so long to open Fantasy Hockey.

It all makes sense now.

Anyone know if ESPN will be doing the same for Burns? I'm still new to fantasy hockey, not sure what site uses what system.

I've heard that Burns is RW (only) on both ESPN and Fantrax.

Yahoo! is simply archaeic with positions.
They have Dustin Byfuglien at RW/D, even though Buff hasn't played RW since joining the Thrashers/Jets, so at least 2 full years at D.

After reading this on ESPN, I'm still holding on to hope:

"POSITION ELIGIBILITY

Before each season begins ESPN will determine the primary position of every NHL player available in the game. The criteria will primarily be the past year's playing time. This includes rookies as well as veterans. The listed primary positions are fixed and will not change for the duration of the season."
