Backstroms potential seems to possibly be heavy.
Staal is predictable but is a shadow of backstrokes ceiling.

Those are the easier ones for me to choose.
The last one is between EStaal and Backstrom. I would probably go with EStaal simply because his peripherals are much better then Backstroms. Points wise Backstrom MAY out produce him but not enough to make up the difference.

I'd keep Parise as the 4th. Parise should hit 75+ points this year and left wing is a pretty shallow position. Parise is a top 5 option there.
If you think you can get a top LW in the draft then I'd prefer Backstrom to Staal.

i like stall as the fourth. i think he and backstrom will be similar in points but since you count hits and sog, that should tip the scales in his favour, imo. good luck!
At first, Backstrom seems the best option at 4(with Ovi, Geno and Giroux being consensus 3) but id actually go parise at 4 as well given your cats. I think he's the best complete player for what you're working with. Staal is right beside him, so you'll be safe with either depending your personal preference. Backstrom should be able to net you a significant return to help elsewhere.

Malkin,Ovechkin, and Giroux are clear locks. The 4th is between Staal and Backstrom. They both are great and it's just a matter of personal preference. I would never consider St. Louis or Parise. Keeping one of those 2 would be crazy IMO. I would probably go with Backstrom over Staal but it is really a toss up and I might go back and fourth for a long time on it.
i didn't see anything about positions! do you just count forwards or do you count them by LW/RW/C?
Cause I'd probably take:
Malkin, Ovechkin, Giroux and Backstrom
if no positions matter
but if they do I'd probably take Parise...or perhaps even Brown since he usually gets dual wing eligibility and gets you Hits and PIM as well as solid scoring
No shout outs for the reigning Art Ross trophy winner? Keeper league or not.... someone has to win the league in this upcoming year.
What's so crazy about keeping St Louis? Backstrom and Parise would be keepers on most teams so, trade them for the highest picks you can get and you have yourself a great chance at winning the league.
